About

I am a board-certified psychiatrist practicing in Colorado who specializes in psychotherapy and medication management, with special expertise in reproductive psychiatry. I provide compassionate and specialized care for a broad range of conditions. I commonly help people with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and trauma. I specialize in working with women planning for pregnancy and through the perinatal period, as well as supporting those experiencing infertility, and women facing the hormonal shifts of perimenopause.

After completing medical school, I trained at the University of Colorado Psychiatry Residency Program, where I was the Chief Resident and am now a Clinical Instructor in Psychiatry.

I also completed specialized training in psychodynamic psychotherapy. I work together with patients to establish a deeper understanding of themselves – their thoughts, feelings, relationships, patterns, problems, and strengths, and consider how these all combine to affect overall health and well-being.

I do not accept insurance but will provide itemized statements (“superbills”) that patients can submit to insurance for out-of-network reimbursement. Contact me for billing rates.

New medication management patients are typically seen within the first month after the initial evaluation, and then generally monthly until psychiatric symptoms are stable at which time patients are then seen as medically necessary (a minimum of quarterly). Patients seeking psychotherapy are seen weekly or every other week.
